Polish retailer Zabka opens its 7000th store

Polish retailer Zabka continues its expansion with the opening of its 7,000th convenience store in Biecz. This is the first Zabka store in town, and it is managed by a regional franchisee.  In 2020, the retailer has opened stores in as many as 78 new locations, including Gostycyn (Kuyavian-Pomeranian region), Parzeczew (Lodz region), Stryszawa (Lesser Poland region), Latchorzew (Mazovian region), Skorogoszcz (Opole region, Przechlewo (Pomeranian region) or Ciecina (Silesian region).  

 

"The pandemic showed how important is the support to franchisees in the daily running of the business by such chain as Zabka, which allows for stable follow-up of business operations on the local market and continued development of enterprise in Poland despite the difficulties. Presently, our chain associates over 5,600 local entrepreneurs running 7,000 stores across Poland, which support approximately 25,000 jobs in total," said Tomasz Suchanski, President of the Board in Zabka Polska.

 

"We support local enterprise and within franchising cooperation scheme we offer the possibility to run own business under a well-known brand, with full logistic, technological and marketing support. Moreover, which in particularly import during the pandemic, we guarantee assistance in many areas of business functioning, and we equip each store for free with disinfecting agents, face masks and gloves, to make customers and store assistants feel safe. We are going to continue our development in the region; presently over 430 entrepreneurs run Zabka stores in the Lesser Poland region," said Adam Manikowski, Vice President of the Board, Managing Director in Zabka Polska.
