Property consultancy Vail Williams LLP has announced a major leadership transition as Danny George steps into the role of Managing Partner from 1 June 2025, succeeding Matthew Samuel-Camps after a transformative decade at the helm. The change comes as the firm launches a new three-year business plan focused on innovation, service excellence and sustainable growth, with turnover expected to exceed €25m for the first time.
Having joined the firm as a graduate in 1988, Matthew Samuel-Camps rose through the ranks to become Managing Partner in 2015. Over the past 10 years, he has spearheaded Vail Williams’ entry into key new markets, including Bournemouth (2021) and Oxford (2024), while doubling headcount to 175 people and expanding operations across nine UK offices. His strategic leadership saw turnover more than double, driven by a blend of organic and acquisitive growth, underpinned by a values-led culture.
“Vail Williams has gone from being a business with great potential to a confident, high-performing consultancy with purpose and pride,” reflected Matthew. “As I step down, I do so having achieved that goal and so much more, thanks to the unwavering support of our clients and our people.”
Danny George, who joined Vail Williams through its 2016 acquisition of business rates specialists Bisset Moffatt Hill, has rapidly risen within the firm. His leadership on cultural transformation and corporate values, as well as his success as Regional Managing Partner for Gatwick and Executive Board member, position him well to lead the firm through its next phase. “It’s a privilege to follow in the footsteps of Matthew... I’m incredibly excited about what is to come,” he said.
For developers and investors, the leadership transition is also significant. The firm’s renewed focus on digitisation, sustainable service delivery and strategic advisory services comes at a time when real estate clients are seeking deeper intelligence, especially in navigating the complexities of AI, hybrid workspaces and ESG compliance. Vail Williams’ continued investment in advisory capabilities will be critical to supporting clients as they adapt to a changing property landscape.
The firm’s growth strategy has remained resilient despite economic headwinds, making this a timely transition. With Danny George now in place and Matthew Samuel-Camps moving into the role of Chair, Vail Williams is entering its next chapter with strong foundations and a clear vision.
