Søren Rodian Olsen joins Newmark Polska to launch its Capital Markets advisory practice

When a dealmaker with two decades of Central and Eastern European transaction experience chooses to build something new rather than simply move roles, the market tends to take notice. Newmark Polska has appointed Søren Rodian Olsen as Executive Board Director and Head of Capital Markets, effective 1 September 2026, tasking him with launching the firm's Capital Markets advisory practice from the ground up in one of Europe's most closely watched real estate markets.

Olsen arrives with a track record that reads like a map of Poland's institutional real estate growth over the past two decades. He was previously director and board member of Urban Partners in Poland, where he established the firm's first Warsaw office in 2021 and led business development of its Logicenters logistics platform, work that included the landmark acquisition of 7R SA. Before that, his career moved through senior roles at Bank Austria Creditanstalt and Commerzbank, before he became Poland country head at Aberdeen Immobilien, the Frankfurt-based fund and asset manager, and later Partner and Head of Capital Markets at Cushman & Wakefield, advising on some of the largest commercial real estate transactions across the CEE region.

"Søren Rodian Olsen is a highly regarded professional in the real estate investment market. His extensive experience in executing complex investment transactions, in-depth market knowledge and strong relationships with both domestic and international investors will further enhance our ability to support clients effectively in making strategic investment decisions in today's dynamic market environment. I am confident that Søren's expertise will significantly strengthen our team and enable us to deliver the highest quality services," said Piotr Kaszyński, Managing Partner at Newmark Polska.

For investors and developers watching Poland from outside the country, the appointment signals something beyond a single senior hire. Newmark Polska is not slotting Olsen into an existing team; it is building an entirely new Capital Markets advisory practice around him, a structural expansion of Newmark's global network into a market the firm clearly expects to generate significantly more cross-border investment activity in the years ahead.

"Joining Newmark Polska is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the company's continued growth as it broadens its service offering and further strengthens its leading position in the European commercial real estate market. I am also delighted to be working with Piotr again, having previously cooperated with him on several investment transactions. Poland remains one of the most dynamic and attractive real estate markets in Europe, continuing to attract both international capital and companies pursuing long-term growth opportunities. I am looking forward to leveraging my professional network and the client network of Newmark to deliver highly customised advice to clients in and outside of Poland/CEE. Launching Newmark Polska's Capital Markets advisory practice will be a truly exciting and entrepreneurial opportunity where I can apply my skills and track record from my previous roles in the Polish real estate market," said Olsen.

Olsen holds a degree in Finance from Copenhagen Business School and an MBA from the University of Westminster. He is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and sits on the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute in Poland, credentials that reinforce the institutional credibility Newmark is banking on as it positions its new practice for both domestic and cross-border mandates.

Newmark Polska, a Newmark Global Partner and member of the wider Newmark Global Network, is one of Poland's premier integrated commercial real estate services firms, offering conflict-free tenant representation alongside capital markets, research and advisory, valuation, design, project management and workplace strategy services. Led by Kaszyński and based in Warsaw, with additional offices in Wrocław, Tricity, Kraków, Katowice and Poznań, the firm draws on the global platform of Newmark (Nasdaq: NMRK), which spans every phase of the property life cycle from offices around the world.
