Prologis, Inc., the global leader in industrial real estate, today announced it will commence construction of a 23,700 m² development at Prologis Park Bratislava.
The facility, which will be completed by the end of the year, is nearly 40% preleased by Geis Group, one of the foremost providers of complex transport and high-quality logistic services in the Czech-Slovak territory. Geis will relocate from a brownfield location in Bratislava to the new, modern cross-dock logistics facility DC7B in Prologis Park Bratislava, which is located alongside the first exit of the D1 motorway, 24 km east of Bratislava city centre and 2 km from Senec.
Upon completion of DC7B, the park will total 232,000 m². This follows the recent completion of a 24,500 m² speculative facility which is now 100% leased following the leasing of 4,600 m² in May to DB Schenker, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG.
"We are very pleased to start the new facility in Prologis Park Bratislava," says Ben Bannatyne, Prologis Regional Head for Central & Eastern Europe. "The pre-leasing activity is a testament to the location of Prologis Park Bratislava to the Bratislava market as well as the entire Slovak region."
