Apleona acquires Corrigenda to boost UK growth and expand decarbonisation services

Third UK acquisition since 2022 strengthens Apleona’s regional position and energy-focused service offering

Apleona has acquired UK-based Corrigenda as part of its strategic push to consolidate its footprint across Northern Europe and deepen its expertise in technical facility management and energy-efficient building services. The acquisition marks Apleona’s third UK transaction since 2022.

Corrigenda, headquartered in Fareham, Hampshire, employs around 200 people and has carved out a significant regional presence across the south of England. With a client base spanning public sector, education and local government, the company brings strong capabilities in complex multi-site maintenance, decarbonisation strategies and building system upgrades. Investors will note Corrigenda’s growing role in retrofitting and managing energy-efficient infrastructure – a sector set to benefit from tightening UK net-zero regulations and rising demand for ESG-aligned service providers.

“We take a thoughtful and intentional approach to acquisitions, and we welcome our new colleagues from Corrigenda with open arms as we continue our strategic growth to compete and challenge the UK market,” said Ray Casey, Regional Head for Northern Europe at Apleona. The firm’s integration of Corrigenda will further support its ability to deliver on the technical, digital and sustainability requirements of both public and private sector clients.

Apleona, based in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt am Main, is expanding its presence across the UK and Ireland through a series of bolt-on acquisitions that complement its core integrated facility management platform. “In the coming years, we will continue to expand and strengthen our European platform through further bolt-on acquisitions, such as Corrigenda, in the UK, Ireland, and other countries, to achieve a market-leading position in Europe,” said Michael Engel, COO of Apleona Group.

“We are delighted to welcome Corrigenda to Apleona UK, whose expertise complements our business in the UK perfectly. Leveraging the experience and expertise gained from our previous successful integrations, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and delivering sustainable growth,” added Adrian Connor, Managing Director of Apleona UK. The move strengthens Apleona’s ability to compete at scale in both urban and regional markets, while diversifying its services into technical maintenance, HVAC upgrades and carbon reduction solutions.

“This marks a milestone for all of us at Corrigenda. We are eager to become part of the Apleona team and are excited about the opportunity to build together, elevate our service quality and broaden our range of clients,” said Paul Spencer, CEO of Corrigenda. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
