Backed by retail tycoon Brett Blundy and advised by global real estate powerhouse Newmark, premium jewellery brand Jewells has officially launched seven stores simultaneously across the United Kingdom, marking a high-impact market entry that blends precision, ambition and scale.
The Lovisa-owned brand has strategically selected high-footfall locations including Westfield London, Bluewater, Lakeside, Churchill Square, The Oracle, Westquay, and Eldon Square. Each of the stores spans approximately 93 m² and is located in premier retail destinations frequented by leading global brands. This launch took just six months from conception to execution, an almost unheard-of feat in UK retail leasing.
“Jewells' entry into the UK market exemplifies a masterclass in strategic precision and speed of delivery,” said David Purslow, Executive Managing Director at Newmark. “Coordinating seven simultaneous openings of this scale across such high-performing shopping centres with such a short 6-month lead-in period is incredibly rare and complex.”
Behind the scenes, Newmark’s Jake Blackwell, a Surveyor in its London retail team, played a key role in navigating the challenging retail real estate landscape to deliver this launch on schedule. “It's been a privilege to work alongside a brand as distinctive and forward-thinking as Jewells, that is reimagining what modern premium retail can look like,” Purslow added.
“These seven stores are just the beginning,” said Peter Bohn, CEO of Jewells. “From day one, we set out to do something bold—to meet customers where they already love to shop and make an immediate, lasting impression.”Investors will be keen to note that Jewells plans a second and third phase of openings in summer and autumn 2025, hinting at a robust and scalable UK retail footprint that could signal deeper investment opportunities and property acquisition momentum.
Retail developers should also take note: Jewells’ entry reflects a broader trend of high-margin, direct-to-consumer luxury brands bypassing traditional testing phases and opting for scale-first strategies in established commercial zones. This creates new demand for mid-size retail units with premium branding potential in both legacy malls and emerging mixed-use redevelopments.
“Jewells was built to resonate across every detail, location, design, and customer connection,” said Leah Uka, Chief Brand and Operations Officer. “This coordinated launch is not only a celebration, it’s a signal of what’s to come.”
