Panattoni Europe, industrial space leader, announced that another stage of development has been completed at the manufacturing hall for Bombardier Transportation. The developer has delivered the welding shop to the investor and is now working on the paint shop. The Wrocław investment is implemented in the build-to-own (BTO) formula – where the client orders a facility that it will subsequently own – and totals approximately 19,400m². Panattoni Europe anticipates to complete its works by July 2016.
Panattoni Europe continues to build for Bombardier Transportation – rail technology leader and at the same time the biggest international investor in the sector in Poland. The investment is underway at the Bombardier Transportation factory in Wrocław, next to the existing manufacturing plant – as an example of a project built to order for its future owner, in the so-called build-to-own (BTO) formula.
The new facility, totalling 19,377m², will make modern body shells for passenger trains, including ICx high-speed trains. The manufacturing section of 18,357m² will be divided into a laser welding room and a paint shop. Eight months after entering the building site, Panattoni Europe has completed works on the welding room – featuring eg tracks on which elements of train car bodies will be brought in. At present, works continue on the paint shop – completion of this stage is planned for this July, and it will take one month more for Bombardier Transportation to connect the technical appliances.
The design and development of production facilities custom-tailored to the needs of individual customers is one of the many competences of Panattoni Europe. Projects completed by the developer to date include the construction of Europe’s first brilliant factory of GE Energy Management, totalling more than 45,000m², in Bielsko-Biała; the conversion of an existing 30,000m² facility for Lear Corporation, specialising in making car interior components; the extension of the Faurecia plant in Gorzów, making interior components for Volkswagen Amarok, Golf A7 and Mercedes W222; the construction of the first European factory of Polaris Industries, the US quad manufacturer, featuring 33,000m² in Opole, and the development of the 10,700m² manufacturing facility in Świebodzin for RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska, a leading global supplier of economy-class aircraft seats.
