infinitSpace appoints Heiko Himme to spearhead European real estate expansion

Global flexible workspace operator infinitSpace has named Heiko Himme as its new Head of Real Estate for Mainland Europe, reinforcing its ambition to scale rapidly across key continental markets and deepen landlord collaboration.

With a career spanning over two decades, Himme is a seasoned executive in commercial property and flex workspaces. He joins infinitSpace from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was International Partner and Head of Berlin. His previous roles include Vice President and Head of Real Estate for Germany, Nordics, and CEE at WeWork, as well as leadership positions at DTZ and his own advisory firm, Himme Consulting.

In his new role, Himme will be tasked with identifying scalable landlord partnerships across urban markets in mainland Europe, focusing on unlocking value in underutilised office assets. This includes repositioning vacant or struggling office buildings into tech-enabled, community-oriented flexible workspaces that meet the post-pandemic demand for hybrid work environments. His appointment signals a broader strategic play: making flex space a viable asset class for institutional investors and asset managers.

“I’m excited to join infinitSpace at such a pivotal moment,” said Heiko Himme. “The team has achieved remarkable growth, and I look forward to accelerating that by developing strong relationships with property owners and creating spaces that support both business productivity and local community engagement.”

infinitSpace was co-founded in 2020 by Wybo Wijnbergen, a former WeWork executive, and his brother Wilco Wijnbergen. The company partners with landlords to convert conventional offices into premium flexible workspaces under its own brand, Beyond or via white-label solutions tailored for property owners. Current sites range from 1,000 m² to over 10,000 m², providing scalable solutions for both single-tenant and multi-tenant buildings.

“Heiko brings an exceptional depth of experience and strategic vision to infinitSpace,” said Wybo Wijnbergen, CEO and Co-founder. “His understanding of both the landlord mindset and the flexible workspace market will be instrumental in driving our next phase of European growth.”

Based in Berlin, Himme will lead real estate operations across continental Europe, working with municipalities and private sector developers alike. His knowledge of ESG-driven value creation is expected to attract further institutional interest, especially as owners seek to repurpose ageing assets and boost occupancy. Developers, in particular, are likely to benefit from infinitSpace's plug-and-play workspace model that can accelerate tenant uptake and long-term asset value.
