The new co-living concept Quarters is coming to Berlin and New York: The Medici Living Group, Europe’s largest co-living provider, will begin renting its first co-living spaces in two houses under its new Quarters brand from March 2017. The concept is intended to provide a home for an international community of young professionals, creatives and start-up founders. The Medici Living Group has set up its new co-living houses in the Mitte district of Berlin and New York’s Lower East Side in Manhattan with its partners and concluded long-term leases for the residential units.Quarters Berlin and New York will officially open in April. “Co-living is the big, new trend on the housing market. Our goal is to bring people together in Quarters who have something in common: creativity and a fresh start-up spirit,” says Gunther Schmidt, CEO and founder of the Medici Living Group. “We anticipate enormous potential for our co-living concept in Berlin and New York. We will expand the brand in both cities moving ahead and spread to other German and international cities as well.”
Quarters Berlin and New York: Co-living for an international community
Quarters offers a total of 45 co-living spaces in Berlin and 47 co-living spaces in New York. Each apartment has around three to five rooms, a communal kitchen and two bathrooms. The co-living concept offers creatives, young professionals and founders modern design and smart technology. Using the Quarters app, tenants can manage all communications for their co-living space – from booking through to the lease to customer support. In addition, the community can use the app to network worldwide, control smart home elements and book additional services. Quarters also offers generous amenity areas where community events regularly take place. Quarters Berlin features a kitchen with dining area, a reading corner, a cinema and a terrace. In addition to a communal kitchen with dining area and a reading corner, Quarters New York offers a table-tennis table and an open-air cinema with bar on the roof terrace. This is a place where the Quarters Community can meet, talk and inspire each other. “Quarters is intended to bring together young people from all over the world who want to be part of a community and live centrally,” says Robert Gmeiner, Managing Director of the Medici Living Group whose role includes heading up marketing and letting operations at the Group. “We are looking forward to the launch of Quarters Berlin and New York, and to a lively, creative community in our two co-living houses.”
