Olga Humlová has been appointed Chief Executive of HB Reavis Group in the Czech Republic. The new head of the Czech subsidiary of one of the leading European developers comes from the international law firm DENTONS, where she was an equity partner specializing in real estate, banking and finance in the Prague and Bratislava offices.
‟The change from external consultant to principal is a big challenge for me and gives me the opportunity to fulfill my long-held ambition to work at the very heart of the world of real estate development. From my long-term experience in the sector, I know exactly what individual players here expect. And I will capitalize on my knowledge in the HB Reavis team,” says JUDr. Olga Humlová, CSc., LL.M., the new Chief Executive of HB Reavis in the Czech Republic. “We are extremely glad that we succeeded to attract one of the most experienced expert on local real estate market. Thus we fulfill our ambition to be in all markets at home,” said Pavel Trenka, board member of HB Reavis Group.
Olga Humlová has 20 years of experience in the real estate and financial markets, starting in 1993 in Frankfurt at BHF-BANK and its Czech subsidiary, Živnostenská banka, with the first funding of real estate development in the Czech Republic. ‟In 1998, I provided the legal and corporate advice for property acquisition to the first institutional investor in the Czech real estate sector, HypoVereinsbank,“ Humlová added. Over the following years, as one of the leading lawyers in the local real estate sector, she has been active in all aspects of the business, from financing, construction and asset management to acquisitions and portfolio and asset disposals.
With effect from August 1, 2013, Humlová will succeed the former Chief Executive, Marcel Kasanický, who now assumes responsibility for HR development for HB Reavis at Group level. ‟Thanks to its successful business model, HB Reavis is expanding its activities ever wider across European markets, which now requires a sustained focus on complex human resource development. Working with people fills me and I look forward to new challenges that international expansion brings, “says Kasanický about his new assignment.
The new Chief Executive of the Czech subsidiary of the HB Reavis Group has worked closely with the company for a number of years. She headed the professional team performing the legal audit and purchase negotiations for Rodamco for the acquisition of fifty per cent of the massive Aupark Bratislava retail project from its developer HB Reavis. She was also responsible for the legal organization behind the acquisitions by HB Reavis of the prestigious River Garden I and River Garden II/III projects in Prague-Karlin and has conducted a series of other legal audits of acquisitions under consideration by the Group in the Czech Republic.
