Goldman Sachs has named Heiko Weber and Trent Wilkins as the new co-heads of its Real Estate group for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This leadership change follows the retirement of Johannes Fritze, who stepped down after a distinguished 15-year tenure with the firm.
“Heiko and Trent are two of the most experienced and respected professionals in the real estate sector. Their appointment reflects Goldman Sachs’ continued commitment to excellence in EMEA real estate dealmaking,” said Johannes Fritze, now retired, in a statement about the transition.
Heiko Weber brings 20 years of experience at Goldman Sachs, having led real estate operations in Germany, the Nordics, the UK, and Central and Eastern Europe. Promoted to managing director in 2017, he has played a significant role in developing the firm’s real estate business across key markets.
Trent Wilkins, who joined Goldman Sachs in 2018, has also been promoted to managing director, having co-led corporate investment-grade origination in EMEA. Wilkins has been instrumental in driving the firm’s real estate investment strategies and executing high-profile transactions.
The strategic appointments of Weber and Wilkins signal Goldman Sachs’ commitment to strengthening its real estate investment and dealmaking capabilities in the region. As co-heads, they will lead the firm’s efforts to build on its strong position in the EMEA real estate market.
