Newcore Capital, the B Corp-certified UK social infrastructure investment manager, has appointed Beatrice Hollond as Chairwoman, effective 1 September 2026. Hollond brings over 40 years of experience across asset management, public markets, private wealth and corporate governance to a firm now managing approximately €878m in assets and dry powder. She succeeds Professor Andrew Baum, who moved from Chairman to Senior Adviser in January and remains on the board through the transition.
Hollond's governance résumé spans Brown Advisory in the US, where she chairs the compensation committee, the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, which she chairs, and the National Gallery, where she sits on the audit and finance committees. Earlier in her career she spent more than 15 years at Credit Suisse Asset Management, rising to Managing Director of Global Fixed Income, after entering the industry as an Equity Analyst at Morgan Grenfell.

The appointment follows a strong 18 months for Newcore, which has secured approximately €293m in new equity commitments despite what Hollond herself describes as a difficult UK real estate fundraising climate, capital spread across its value-add fund series, the semi-open-ended Newcore Social Infrastructure Income Fund, and the Newcore Swansea Social Infrastructure Partnership run with Swansea City Council. For allocators seeking defensive, impact-aligned exposure, that resilience suggests social infrastructure strategies are proving more insulated from broader UK real estate fundraising headwinds than many traditional strategies.
