DLA Piper, one of the world's leading law firms, just signed a long-term lease for the six top floors (23rd to 28th floor) of 'WINX - The Riverside Tower' and will occupy around 5,400 m² of the tower's office space. The company plans to move into its new premises by spring 2018. The transaction, which was facilitated by the JLL estate agency, brings the occupancy of WINX Tower up to more than 75% – over a year before completion is scheduled.
Ulrich Höller, CEO of GEG: “I am very pleased to say that we found another blue-chip tenant for MainTor in DLA Piper. The WINX Tower is the showpiece of the MainTor Quarter, whose overall occupancy is now at almost 90%, an amazing rate when you consider that the building activity has yet to be completed.”
Dr. Michael Holzhäuser, Office Managing Partner of the Frankfurt branch of DLA Piper: “Having seen our operation at the Frankfurt branch steadily expand in recent years, we are very much looking forward to our new offices. At the WINX as Frankfurt's latest best-of-class property, we found perfect accommodations for our ongoing development and expansion of the Frankfurt office to more than 100 attorneys.”
The 'MainTor-Quartier' project in Frankfurt involves the redevelopment of the area between the streets Untermainkai and Weissfrauenstrasse. In the process of redeveloping the formerly enclosed brownfield compound of Degussa, the area is being restored to public use, with historic access ways from the inner city to the Main riverbank revitalised and firmly integrated into the lanes and streets of the surrounding city quarter. The development divides into six autonomous building projects, five of which have already been completed, sold and largely let: the commercially used buildings 'Primus','Panorama' and 'Porta', plus the residential tower blocks 'Palazzi' and 'Patio'.
