Bucharest Unirii Square hotel to reopen under Accor this month (RO)

The 4-star hotel Bucharest Unirii Square, which is owned by the Lebanese Sarieddine family, closed in 2022 due to the pandemic. However, it is set to reopen this month through an affiliation with Accor. Market sources suggest that it will be part of the Handwritten Collection brand.

Located near Pieta Unirii in Bucharest, the hotel was previously affiliated with the DoubleTree by Hilton chain before its closure. At the time of its closure, the hotel had 88 rooms, and a 170m2 conference room, and was classified as a 4-star establishment.

Now, after being closed for two years, the hotel has returned to its original name of Bucharest Unirii Square and is affiliated with the Accor chain. It is scheduled to reopen in May of this year with 104 rooms, and its theme will revolve around multiculturalism. The hotel will feature a new Lebanese restaurant called Fairuz as well as TED's Coffee Cafe.

The hotel will be managed by Kinan Sarieddine.
