Spanish retailer Ahorramas continues to grow its portfolio with the latest opening of two stores in Madrid, in Ciempozuelos and Leganes. The Ciempozuelos outlet comprises 1,448m² and employes 42 members of staff. The store is located in an area where Ahorramas already operates two other stores. Ahorramas has installed solar panels on the rooftop of the new store, to provide sustainable energy, along with charging points for electric vehicles.
Meanwhile, in Leganes, where the company already operates five other stores, a brand new location comprises 594m² and has 24 employees. This year Ahorramas has announced a total of five openings and eight reopenings.
The company continues to expand its network and is currently investing in the refurbishment of several stores in Madridejos and Toledo. Upon the completion of renovation works the stores will be equipped with solar panels and charging points for electric vehicles. The store will also offer the ‘A comer… y listo’ (let’s eat… and ready) service, which provides traditionally prepared foods to customers. Additionally, the Spanish retailer has also installed digital displays to inform customers about promotions, recipes, and seasonal products.
To show its commitment to sustainability the Ciempozuelos, Leganés, and Madridejos stores now provide recycling points at their entrance, along with extensive fresh produce areas.
