YIT and the OP-Rental Yield special fund have agreed on the construction of four rental apartment projects in growth centres in Finland. The combined value of these projects is approximately €50m and the contract covers more than 330 apartments. The projects are scheduled to start in phases during 2019 and the buildings will be completed in 2020.
“This contract continues our successful cooperation with OP. In its projects, YIT is studying solutions based on the use of alternative materials and production models, as well as their environmental impact as part of our strategic Green Growth development programme. The OP project in Tampere will be realised using timber-based modules,” explained Antti Inkila, Executive Vice President, YIT Housing Finland and CEE segment.
