Wingstop UK is openning its first standalone retail unit at Gallions Reach Retail Park in East London’s Beckton. Lemon Pepper Holdings, which is the UK master franchisee and brand partner of the American chicken wing concept has acquired a former Bella Italia site at Gallions Reach. The company has confirmed that it intends to open in either late March or early April.
In 2022, Wingstop opened 11 sites across the UK and their current portfolio within the country now stands at 29. Key cities for the brand include London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Towards the end of last year, the company saw weekly sales revenue exceed €1.2m (£1m) and expects to exceed 2-22 growth numbers due to several new locations planned for the coming year.
Co-Founder and Director of Lemon Pepper Holdings, Tom Grogan, said: “Off the back of an extremely strong year of trade in 2022, we’re delighted to have started the year with another great acquisition. The location of the scheme and prominence of the unit is ideal. We have a young target catchment on our doorstep, with over 66% of catchment population under 40 and we can’t wait to start serving the local community our cooked to order flavours!”
