VIVID constructs sea wall defence at Victory Quay (GB)

Work at VIVID’s Victory Quay development site is continuing to progress. After considerable remediation and decontamination, the next phase has begun with launch of the sea wall defence element of the project.  It is designed to not only safeguard current local residents but also the wider coastal communities against any threats from rising sea levels and subsequent floods.

Protecting all that live in Tipner, and the surrounding areas is important for today and creating a safe home and community for future residents, including the local wildlife and birds.  Work on the sea wall defences marks a significant leap forward in enhancing the resilience of our shoreline and protecting local infrastructure, property, and ecosystems.

The new and improved sea will span around the site, enhancing elements of the existing flood defences by the Mountbatten Centre and will be completed by mid-2025.

Tristan Samuels, Group Development & New Business Director of VIVID, said: “We are committed to the safety and well-being of local residents and want to ensure every step of this development creates a community that is safe for all for years to come. Our coastal areas are essential to our economy, environment, and way of life. This new sea wall is a testament to our commitment to protecting these vital assets and preparing for future challenges.”
