Vasakronan has announced that it has agreed to purchase the entire Blåmannen, Klara Zenit, block from Commerz Real for 485 million (SEK 4.35 billion). The property is located in central Stockholm and is enclosed by the Klara Norra Kyrkogata, Mäster Samuelsgatan, Bryggargatan and Drottninggatan streets.

The Blåmannen 20 property comprises a total of 70,000 m² of mainly prime, modern office space, but also with considerable retail space.
Vasakronan, which recently acquired the Stuten 12 property on Regeringsgatan, is now proceeding with its focus on attractive office and retail properties in central Stockholm locations. The property was thoroughly remodeled and extended in 2002-2003. Tenants include Clas Ohlson, Hennes & Mauritz and Oriflame.

Vasakronan has a significant property portfolio in Stockholm, which, including the purchase of Blåmannen 20, comprises slightly more than 1.9 million m² and represents a property value of SEK 53 billion. During 2010, Vasakronan has sold residential properties for more than SEK 5 billion and bought office and retail properties for a corresponding amount.
Lars Johnsson, Executive Vice President and Head of Investments at Vasakronan says: "With several major transactions and a turnover totaling more than SEK 11 billion, 2010 has been an intense year for Vasakronan. There will be a break over Christmas, but I believe 2011 will be very interesting year in the property market."
