Revelop acquired social infrastructure asset in Malmo (SE)

Revelop has completed the acquisition of Vildanden 8 - a social infrastructure asset with c. 8,000m2 of leasable area located in Limhamn, one of Malmo’s fastest-growing districts. The asset represents a strategic add-on acquisition to Revelop’s existing portfolio in the Oresund region.

Possession was taken at the end of January. The asset has significant development potential and currently consists primarily of healthcare, municipal services, and wellness operations. There are substantial opportunities for energy improvements and efficiency gains through investments in technical upgrades.

"The acquisition aligns with our strategy to invest in assets with high potential in submarkets with strong growth. The Oresund region’s dynamism and substantial investments in infrastructure and business create favourable conditions for Malmö’s development. Through the acquisition of Vildanden 8 in Limhamn, we aim to create an attractive social infrastructure asset with an ambitious sustainability profile,” said Thomas Sipos, Group CEO and Executive Partner of Revelop.

Malmo is a growth engine in the Oresund region, with excellent connections and proximity to European markets. The city will greatly benefit from extensive infrastructure projects in the region, which, combined with strong population growth, will drive forward its development. Vildanden 8 is strategically located in Limhamn, one of the districts with strong historical and expected population growth. The asset is situated directly adjacent to large-scale residential projects that have been completed, are ongoing, or are planned, and in close proximity to Copenhagen and Kastrup airport.

The growth trajectory of the area is expected to increase the demand for modern social infrastructure and services to meet the needs of the growing population.

"The asset has significant transformation potential, and our plans are to create a cluster for businesses within social infrastructure and invest in extensive technical upgrades to reduce energy consumption," said Thomas Sipos.
