The opening of the flagship Célio and Jennyfer stores, part of a European fashion chain for men and women with 1,400 stores worldwide, marks the completion of this ambitious project. In the basement, ground floor and first floor, REDEVCO has created two retail units totalling 2,000 m² for tenants Célio and Jennyfer. REDEVCO has invested over 40 million in the project.
Two retail units have been created and the five upper storys have been converted into 24 5-6-room family apartments, which will be rented out. In a nearby property, sold by REDEVCO to Immobilière 3F, there will be 47 apartments in a social housing scheme.
"We have created a homogeneous property while preserving the outstanding architectural quality of the original buildings, which date from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries," says Jean-Christophe Bretxa, REDEVCO France's Managing Director.
"This project is a real highlight in REDEVCO's redevelopment activities, and in the regeneration of a central area of Paris, the quartier de la Samaritaine, where our group has been present for more than thirty years."
The retail units were ready for the tenants at the end of the first half of 2010, as planned, while the apartments are scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
