NCC will refurbish and remodel 402 residential units in Frederikssund on Zealand in Denmark on behalf of the public housing companies Domea and Boligselskabet Vores Bolig. The order value is approximately c. €28.5m.
The refurbishment and remodelling are part of a larger upgrade plan for the Graese Bakkeby area that has been in progress for about ten years. The portfolio consists of row houses and one- to three-story apartment blocks, built in the 1980s.
NCC’s assignment includes the renovation of facades and roofs, replacing insulation and ventilation, and upgrading the outdoor environment in the area. 60 of the residential units will also be adapted for accessibility.
“NCC is currently renovating 2,700 residential units across Denmark. Major and extensive refurbishment projects like this one in Frederikssund constitute one of our core competencies. Success factors comprise good planning, clear project management, and using a team with solid experience from similar projects,” said Catarina Molen-Runnas, Head of NCC Building Nordics.
Work will commence at the end of 2024 and is expected to be completed in 2027.
