Knight Frank strengthens Leeds office with two strategic partner appointments

Knight Frank's Yorkshire expansion continues with key appointments set to bridge commercial and residential sectors, signalling strong market confidence despite regional economic headwinds.

In a strategic move that signals confidence in Yorkshire's property market, Knight Frank has appointed two new partners to its Leeds office, enhancing its capabilities in capital markets and residential land & development.

Richard Brooke and Brad Harris, both joining from the Leeds office of commercial property consultants and auctioneers Allsops, bring significant regional expertise that will strengthen Knight Frank's position in the competitive Yorkshire market. The appointments come at a critical time when cross-sector development opportunities are emerging across the region's urban centres, with an estimated €575m of potential mixed-use schemes in the pipeline.

Richard Brooke, who previously worked at Cushman & Wakefield before Allsops, commented: "This is a major move and an important opportunity for me. I am delighted to have the opportunity to join Knight Frank and am ready to develop my career further with a world-renowned property consultancy. The capital markets team is the leading player in the Yorkshire region, and I am excited to contribute to its continued success together with my fellow partner Graham Foxton."

Eamon Fox, head of Knight Frank's Leeds office, stated: "We are delighted to welcome Richard and Brad to our Leeds office as partners. These are two very significant and heavyweight appointments for us and will take our talented team up to another level. Their expertise and experience will help with the expansion of the business in Yorkshire, making it a market-leading proposition. These are very exciting times for Knight Frank and Richard and Brad will be integral to our future success in Yorkshire where we have offices in Leeds and Sheffield. We will focus on continued communication and collaboration between our teams and ensure we are active where our clients need us."

Brad Harris, whose previous experience includes roles at Dacre Son and Hartley and JLL, added: "This is a major career move for me. It gives me the opportunity to develop Knight Frank's residential land and development team in Yorkshire, bridging the gap between the residential and commercial development sectors." The appointment comes as Yorkshire's residential development land values have increased by 8.2% year-on-year, outperforming the national average and creating unique opportunities for investors looking to diversify portfolios with mixed-use schemes.

Both Yorkshire-born partners bring local market knowledge that investors increasingly value in navigating complex planning frameworks and identifying emerging opportunities, particularly in the region's growing urban regeneration schemes where commercial and residential sectors converge.
