KaFra Housing opens its twentieth location on the Parallelweg in Etten-Leur. This new apartment complex offers decent housing to 250 international employees, mainly working in or near Etten-Leur.
"Since the opening of our first location in Waalwijk in 2018, we have realised twenty locations in just over six years," said co-founder Frank van Gool. "We provide temporary accommodation for specific target groups, such as hard-working international employees, who are essential for keeping our economy running. They also deserve a safe and pleasant living environment, and we are successfully contributing to that."
The residential complex on the Parallelweg was completed within eight months and combines the transformation of a former office building with a new-build complex. Residents have their own bedroom and share a kitchen, living room and bathroom. With a minimum of fifteen square meters of living space per person, separate living and working contracts and guaranteed privacy, the complex meets the highest Roemer standards.
To ensure the well-being of the residents, there are 24/7 Welfare Officers present who speak the language of the residents and serve as the first point of contact. In addition, the location offers various leisure facilities such as a common room, a football field, a reception and two fitness rooms. The gas-free complex, equipped with solar panels, contributes to a reduced ecological footprint. Moreover, 70% of the residents work in the immediate vicinity of Etten-Leur, which means that commuting is minimal.
The Netherlands is facing a major shortage of suitable housing for specific target groups such as international staff and refugees. KaFra Housing develops, realizes and manages innovative housing concepts that can be delivered within six to nine months. This temporary housing offers a solution for municipalities struggling with housing shortages, without increasing the pressure on the regular housing market.
