HOCHTIEF Solutions formart is set to realize an apartment building containing 41 residential units in Cologne-Junkersdorf, along with nine town houses and a dedicated underground garage with 53 parking spaces. The complex with a total rentable area of 6,200 m² was acquired by the pension fund of the Hessen State Medical Association (Versorgungswerk der Landesärztekammer Hessen).
The 'Stadtwaldviertel Junkersdorf' district has been under development on a former barracks site in Cologne since the end of the 1990s and includes residential buildings alongside commercial real estate.
HOCHTIEF Solutions formart had managed to secure the last remaining plot in the southeast of the district where a five-story residential building with 41 two- to four-room apartments is scheduled to be erected facing Dürener Straße.
Bordering the city forest, nine two-story town houses will be raised comprising 120 to 195 m² of living area and gardens. The residential units will be provided with high-end fittings and furnishings and exceed the energy efficiency standard 'KfW 70' of the German government-owned development bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau under the Energy Saving Regulations (Energieeinsparverordnung) EnEV 2009.
Nearly 60 car parking spaces will be made available. The estate itself will be a traffic-free zone.
