Global Switch, the leading owner and operator of wholesale, multi-tenanted, carrier-neutral data centers in Europe and Asia-Pacific, has announced a new senior appointment for its Paris data center.
Ralph Montandon has been appointed as Managing Director, Paris with effect from May 1, 2013.
Montandon has around 30 years’ experience working in the data center and information technology sectors for a diverse range of companies. Prior to joining Global Switch he was President at Microsens, a developer, manufacturer and seller of world-wide active components for fiber optic networks into data centers.
He was also General Manager for Emerson Network Power, a global company delivering solutions to protect and optimize critical data center infrastructure, where he led the restructuring of the company and was responsible for sales and services of data center infrastructure solutions. He has also worked for Nixdorf Computers, Group Moulinex and Rittal France.
Montandon will focus on the smooth running of Global Switch Paris, the city’s leading data center campus with in excess of 50,000 m² of space, which has been designed and built for maximum security and resiliency. He will oversee all aspects of the campus from sales through to operations.
