The construction of Galeria Młociny, a modern retail and entertainment complex, has begun. The new shopping centre will be situated in the Bielany district, one of Warsaw’s top locations, next to the Młociny transport hub which includes a metro station.
Raven sp. z o.o., an affiliate of Master Management Group, the developer and leasing manager of Galeria Młociny, is currently selecting a general contractor. The complex has obtained the final building permit. The first phase of the development includes securing and preparing the site for construction. The grand opening of the Galeria Młociny shopping centre is scheduled for H2 2018.
Galeria Młociny will be built on a 5-hectare plot located between Zgrupowania AK “Kampinos” street and the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Bridge Route.
“Galeria Młociny is all about the location – next to the Młociny transport hub which includes a metro station. It is the main public transport hub for residents of the northern part of the city and surrounding areas, used every day by approximately 40,000 people from Bielany, Żoliborz, Bemowo, Łomianki and Białołęka. The Młociny transport hub incorporates 22 bus routes, four tram routes, a metro station, Polskibus.com stations, bus links to the Warsaw/Modlin airport and a P+R parking lot for over 1,000 vehicles. It’s difficult to find a better location in the northern part of Warsaw,” says Michał Masztakowski, development and leasing director at Master Management Group. “Galeria Młociny will be built in a developing residential area where over 6,000 new apartments will soon be available. Other housing and office property investments are also planned.”
Within the 220,000m2 planned total area, customers will find approximately 220 retail units, a nine-screen cinema, a fitness club, over a dozen restaurants and cafes and the first Delikatesy Alma in this part of Warsaw. The complex will offer over 2,000 parking spaces.
Galeria Młociny is developed by two architectural studios – Autorska Pracownia Architektury Kuryłowicz & Associates and Chapman Taylor. The project is in line with sustainable development rules in accordance with the BREEAM certification.
