Building permit secured for PAREF's NAU! mixed-use development in Frankfurt

PAREF Group, a leading European real estate investor and developer, has secured a building permit for its high-profile NAU! mixed-use development in Frankfurt. This marks a significant milestone for the project's targeted 2028 completion.

Located at Theodor-Heuss-Allee 44, directly opposite Frankfurt's trade fair grounds, the development will transform the site into a 34,800 m² urban mixed-use concept featuring modern office spaces, hotel accommodation, serviced apartments, gastronomy outlets, retail units, co-working facilities, and fitness areas. The project, managed on behalf of Luxembourg-based owner Acacias, represents a deliberate shift away from traditional single-use office buildings toward a more integrated, multi-functional urban space.

The development targets multiple sustainability and digital infrastructure certifications, including DGNB Gold, BREEAM Excellent, WiredScore Certified and SmartScore Certified. Sustainable features include energy-efficient systems, district heating connection, smart metering, modern building automation, a high-performance photovoltaic system, and green rooftop terraces. The property will also offer a two-level underground garage with more than 150 car parking spaces, EV charging stations, and 460 bicycle parking spaces.

Antoine Castro, Chairman & CEO of the PAREF Group, commented: "Germany stands as one of PAREF's two core markets, alongside France, and is a fundamental pillar of our long-term growth strategy. With NAU!, we are not only expanding our footprint in a key European city — we are also executing our proven 'Manage to ESG / Manage to Core' strategy, which has already delivered strong results in Paris and Milan. This project exemplifies our commitment to value creation through sustainable development and innovation, as we continue to offer resilient, future-proof assets for our institutional and private investors."

Hanno Schrecker, Managing Director at PAREF Investment Management Germany, added: "Frankfurt needs properties that go beyond the status quo – functional, digital and user-centric. With NAU! we are not developing a conventional office building, but an open and vibrant neighborhood with strong urban appeal and real everyday usability. This project marks an important step in further strengthening PAREF's position in Germany – not only as a developer, but as a long-term, committed shaper of the urban landscape."
