British Offsite a c. €1.7m contract with Wates Residential, marking a major milestone as the company enters the Retirement Living market.
This landmark project for the Hillbourne development in Poole will feature British Offsite’s industry-leading UNisystem that will deliver 29 purpose-built retirement apartments over 14 weeks.
The project utilizes UNisystemLB (load-bearing) to enable British Offsite to enter the energy-efficient, sustainable housing market for the Retirement Living sector. This system combines UNipanelLB (external panels) and UNiwallLB (internal walls) for quick construction of low-rise and mid-rise buildings, potentially reducing build time by 30-50%. With integrated insulation and brick tie channels, the panels enhance airtightness, thermal efficiency, and fire safety. This precision manufacturing accelerates construction, allowing for faster compartmentalization and earlier customer viewings, ultimately boosting asset value for developers.
British Offsite will be providing a complete package for Wates Residential including panels, walls, floors, stairs, pre-cast lift cores, and roofing elements.
The Hillbourne project will be operated by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole District Council and will cater to the housing needs of the retirement residents in the community.
To ensure smooth execution at the Hillbourne site, British Offsite will collaborate closely with Datum, who will be responsible for the onsite installation of the UNisystemLB and overall project management.
The partnership will leverage Datum's experience to deliver the project efficiently and to the highest standard.
