A new six-storey Big Yellow Self-Storage facility is set to replace the existing one at Staples Corner in Brent Cross’s business park in London. The new development plans will not only offer self-storage options but also flexible office spaces, catering to the increasing demands of both domestic and business sectors. This initiative is also expected to create additional employment opportunities in the area.
The proposed building will feature 378m2 of flexible office space at the forefront, overlooking Edgware Road and Staples Corner West Roundabout. These office spaces will be managed by Big Yellow and vary in size from 10 to 50m2, designed to be used independently or in conjunction with the storage facilities, providing versatility for various business needs.
The existing car dealership on the site will be demolished to pave the way for this new development. The planning statement highlights a significant increase in floorspace with the new building, offering 15,172m2 more than the existing facility.
