aik (APO Immobilien-Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH), the property investment company for occupational pension funds and insurance companies, acquired a commercial building in Bremen's city center on behalf of one its occupational real estate pension funds.
The commercial asset was built in 1987 and an extensive refurbishment was carried out in 2003. The building has a total area of approx. 16,555 m² split over five floors. The entire building is rented to C&A Mode, a tenant with an excellent credit rating, on a long term. C&A has traditionally been a tenant in this building ever since the year 1987.
"With the latest acquisition of Hanseatenhof, we were able to acquire another attractive asset with secure long-term cashflow and a top tenant for our investors," says Dr. Stephan Hinsche, the spokesman of aik management board.
"Larger retail space is hard to find in Bremen's city center. Since years the space demand has been on a high level in the past years which puts potential re-letting into a very positive light."
