Weston launches 65,000ft² of flexible office space (GB)

Weston Business Centres have launched flexible working spaces at two newly-refurbished Business Centres in Stansted and Colchester in Essex aimed at businesses looking to relocate post the COVID-19 pandemic. Aptly named The Stansted Centre and The Colchester Centre, the combined offices provide more than 65,000ft² of flexible serviced office space, set to cater to an influx of small businesses looking to relocate out of London following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many businesses are looking to cut costs on London offices and reduce the risk of asking staff to commute in on busy London transport and are therefore not renewing London office leases. It has been reported that London could be facing a mass exodus, with searches for homes outside the capital up to 51% compared to 42% this time last year. Businesses will, therefore, be looking to adapt to cater to employees wishing to avoid commuting into London.

Tenants at both the Business Centres are serviced by a team of 22 staff including reception team, IT support and cleaning staff.  All serviced offices at the Weston Business Centres provide the latest technology, contemporary telephone and voicemail systems, a fully staffed reception, and in-house café, conference facilities, meeting rooms and air conditioning. For those who simply want a business address, virtual office space is also available.

Richard Kuyper, Managing Director of Weston  Business Centres, commented: “The serviced office space available at The Stansted Centre and The Colchester Centre offers small businesses and self-employed workers flexible working spaces within state-of-the-art serviced facilities. We foresee a growing demand for this kind of office space as small businesses look to cut costs and protect staff by relocating out of London or provide team members with an office option outside of London. For an established business, we can create the space to meet their needs, up to 15,000ft².”
