Union Investment, acting on behalf of an open-ended special real estate fund DIFA-Fonds Nr. 3, has acquired a 3,500m² office property in the Helsinki city centre. Originally built in 1900, the complex was later upgraded in 2008. Located at Lapinlahdenkatu 3, it is currently fully let to 17 tenants. The vendor and main tenant the Martha Association occupies c.25%. The purchase price was not disclosed.
“DIFA-Fonds Nr. 3 focuses on properties in Germany but also has the freedom to diversify its portfolio across other established national markets in Europe. Due to the price category, tenant structure and high level of fungibility, this multi-tenant building is an excellent fit with the fund’s holdings,” said Wolfgang Kessler, a member of the Management Board of Union Investment Institutional Property.
