Slough Estates announces key appointments and sells office building in Paris (FR/UK)

Slough Estates plc has announced that it has further strengthened its European Team with two key appointments in Paris.

Laurent Horbette has joined as General Manager, France in order to head up Slough's French operations. Laurent has joined from Bail Investissement where he was Head of Asset Management and prior to that he worked for nine years within the Bouygues Group. Laurent will be joined by Christophe Richaud who has been appointed as Technical Director. Christophe was previously a Senior Project Manager at Hammerson in Paris.

Walter Hens, Slough Estates' European Managing Director, commented: "We are delighted to have secured two such high quality professionals. We made a strategic decision at the end of last year to restructure our French operations and increase our exposure to the French markets and these appointments mark a significant step in that process".

Sale of office building
Slough Estates plc has also announced that it has sold its office building in Avenue Kléber, Paris, to Foncière des Regions, a French quoted property company.

The 3,000 m² building, formerly occupied by Alcatel, was subject to a comprehensive refurbishment programme prior to being sold for approximately €32m. Foncière des Regions has purchased the building for its own occupation.

Walter Hens, Slough Estates' European Managing Director, commented: "We are delighted to announce the sale of the Avenue Kléber office for €32m, which was above the Group's budget expectation. This sale also contributes to a reduction in the Group vacancy figure."
