Rubens Capital Partners, the Amsterdam-based firm that manages Dutch real estate on behalf of international institutional and private investors, has acquired its peer IBUS to strengthen its presence in the Netherlands and boost its assets under management by 25% to €1.5 billion. The terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed.

Jan Arend de Vos van Steenwijk, the Founding Partner of Rubens Capital Partners (RCP), said: “IBUS is a perfect fit for our business, since it complements our core strengths of managing commercial and residential property assets across the Netherlands. The addition of the IBUS team will enable the RCP platform to serve a broader and more diversified client base better, while opening up new avenues for our fast-growing and ambitious company to expand outside the Netherlands. Existing IBUS clients will be serviced by a larger team with a stronger network.”

Among the €300m of assets that IBUS manages on behalf of high net worth individuals, family offices and institutions are: a portfolio of residential properties in the Netherlands, the U.S. and in Germany, where it also oversees a portfolio of retail buildings.
