Norfin starts work on Oriente Green Campus (PT)

Norfin has started on the construction of Oriente Green Campus, a project that intends to reinvent the future of offices in Lisbon without forgetting the Portugality of the project. Located in Moscavide, the Oriente Green Campus will have a total office area of 41,100m²and 18,700m² of outdoor areas and will serve as an extension to the Parque das Nacoes with several accessibility alternatives. Designed to be at the forefront of sustainability, the building will have several amenities such as a food court for the exclusive use of users, a gym, auditory, extensive green areas, and parking for vehicles, including bicycles, as well as a natural ventilation system that will allow for a greater renewal of air inside and a reduction in energy consumption.

The architecture project, developed in collaboration with the renowned architecture studios Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) - with extensive international presence, having developed projects for some of the largest global companies, including some of the technological giants - and Saraiva + Associados - the most prolific Portuguese architecture studio of today -, aims to provide an innovative and welcoming work experience, which is reflected in the incorporation of large green areas, large areas of natural lighting, quality equipment and finishes, and also a rooftop unique in Portugal - not only for its size, but also for the panoramic view over the Tagus River and Parque das Nacoes.

The Oriente Green Campus will be the first LEED Platinum building in the Greater Lisbon market, thus ensuring the highest level of sustainable construction certification, with a strong focus on reducing the carbon footprint. It will also have the WELL Gold seal, which aims at the Health, Safety and Well-being of its users. The balance between green practices and local tradition will also be reflected in the building's façade, which incorporates tile pieces, favoring the blue and white color palette, typical of the city of Lisbon.

This set of transformations and introductions takes the building to the forefront of modernization on several levels, making it unique, both in terms of construction and the features that will be contemplated in the project.

Francisco Sottomayor, President of the Board of Administration of Norfin, commented: "The building has a remarkable dimension and was designed with all the necessary characteristics to attract top international brands and companies. A very significant investment was made in order to ensure that the product would have the necessary conditions to attract hubs capable of boosting the local economy, as an attractive place to work and live. The project is symbolic of the dream of revitalizing the surroundings of Parque das Nacoes and represents a significant reinforcement of the volume of offices available, a particularly relevant fact at the present time when supply in the area is very scarce."
