Nokia appoints JLL to manage capital projects

Nokia, the global technology company based out of Finland, has appointed JLL as the sole provider of Project Management Office (PMO) and portfolio manager services for their global portfolio, which includes projects in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

 

JLL will provide its services to three key Nokia business, namely Nokia Networks which provides broadband infrastructure, software and services; HERE which is Nokia’s mapping and location intelligence division; and Nokia Technologies, in charge of innovation development and licensing. Nokia is currently undertaking the acquisition of French telecommunication company Alcatal-Lucent for €15.6 mln, which will surely further increase Nokia’s need for JLL’s PMO services in the short term.

 

The responsibility for handling the portfolio was previously undertaken by a number of individual firms.

JLL will assign a team dedicated to overseeing various capital projects within different business units and locations for Nokia. Combining its unique mix of finance, construction, and real estate expertise, JLL seeks to improve productivity and project delivery speed, manage financial risk, analyse data to deliver ongoing improvements, and improve health and safety outcomes.
