Genesta has sold its part of the retail park Solasen Handel in Jonkoping, Sweden on behalf of the fund, GNRE Core Plus, to Niam. Solasen Handel is located along the motorway E4 in one of the most expanding areas in Jonkoping. The approximately 36,000m² park was acquired in July 2018 and has since been improved and expanded. New tenants have been added to the park improving the offering, including among others, Dollarstore, Bygghemma, Trademax, Nordic Wellness, and the restaurant Brodernas.
"Solasen Handel is now an even more popular shopping destination for families in the region, at the same time we have provided our investors a solid return. We are pleased with how we have improved the retail park during our hold," said Genesta’s CEO David Neil.
Last week Media Markt opened a new store in new top modern premises just as XXL did earlier in the year. The fit-out for Dollarstore’s premises, a 4 500m² store and one of the largest stores the chain has in the country, has begun and they are expected to start trading in the new year.
"On behalf of the successor fund, GNRE Core Plus open-ended we will now continue to look for attractive opportunities in good locations across the Nordics," said David Neil.
