NCC to develop mixed-use in Molndal (SE)

NCC has started work on the property development project MIMO, encompassing approximately 40,000m² of offices, services and retail in Molndal, due south of Gothenburg, Sweden. The scheme is centrally located, adjacent to Molndal travel centre and the Molndals Galleria mall. The project will include the renovation of already existing buildings as well as the construction of a 17-story building, which will contain both offices and services. The building will receive a sustainability certification at the BREEAM Excellent level. Construction will begin in the autumn and the project is scheduled to be completed in 2024. One-third of the scheme is already let to a roster of tenants including SATS and Mindpark.

“As a major operator in Western Sweden, we are continuing to develop Molndal, a municipality that can pride itself on its many awards for enterprise and its satisfied residents. Molndal has excellent transport connections and with this addition of new office space, services and retail, we are increasing the number of workplaces in the city,” said Joachim Holmberg, Head of NCC Property Development.

“MIMO is the final piece of the jigsaw in NCC’s development of Mölndal city centre. The excellent transportation links, modern and flexible office space that focuses on the well-being of people, as well as a wide range of service offerings, will further strengthen the area for companies looking for an attractive location to establish operations,” said Joachim Holmberg.
