NCC has signed an agreement with Skebo to construct 219 rental apartments at Anderstorpsgarden in Skelleftea, Sweden. The project is a turnkey contract with an order value of c. €28.5m.
NCC’s assignment includes the new production of rental apartments in varying sizes distributed between tower blocks, low-rise buildings and row houses. Project planning will commence in spring 2024 and construction will start in autumn 2024. The neighbourhood will be ready for occupancy in late 2026 or early 2027.
“Demand remains strong for new rental apartments in central locations in Skelleftea. It is therefore gratifying that we can soon add new apartments in a central location and it will be one of Skebo’s largest ever projects. We look forward to turning the first sod,” said Helena Markgren, CEO of Skebo.
The new residential area in Skelleftea will be built in the Anderstorp district on Elevhemsgatan, close to the listed building Anderstorps gard and the Skelleftealven river.
“Skelleftea is currently one of Sweden’s fastest-growing cities and has a substantial need for new residential units. We have already completed several successful construction projects on behalf of Skebo. With these new rental apartments at Anderstorpsgården, NCC will continue to expand the range of housing available in the city,” said Niklas Sparw, Head of NCC Building Sweden.
