NCC is to refurbish the Agarden neighborhood in Copenhagen’s Norrebro district and work will now begin. The assignment is the first project to be carried out within the framework of the fsb HJEM €20m.
NCC has previously planned this project and has now been commissioned to refurbish 326 residential units across two large residential blocks. The refurbishment will take into account the ongoing operations of businesses and residents in the area. The Agarden neighbourhood is located in Norrebro in central Copenhagen and was built in the 1980s.
“The redevelopment of Ågården is an assignment that is well-aligned with NCC’s expertise. Once again, we will be working in the middle of a residential area, which places high demands on cooperation and creative solutions to ensure that the refurbishment is conducted as smoothly as possible for residents of the area,” said Katrine Hald, Senior Project Manager Refurbishment at NCC.
Fsb HJEM is a collaboration between NCC, COWI, Arkitektur Norden and Smith Innovation for the refurbishment of residential units owned by fsb, the largest social housing association in Copenhagen.
Work will commence in spring 2024 and is expected to be completed in 2026.
