Mapletree deepens logistics footprint in Europe

Mapletree (Mapletree) has acquired its first logistics property in the United Kingdom and a portfolio of 10 logistics assets in Spain for c. €315.1m. These acquisitions will constitute the seed assets of Mapletree’s second European logistics-focused fund.

 

Derby DC1, the logistics property in Derby Commercial Park, the UK, enjoys excellent access to major arterial roads and is situated near the city centre and the East Midlands Airport. Similarly, the well-diversified portfolio of logistics assets in Spain is located in core logistics hubs across the first rings of Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid, offering immediate access to the city centre via various transportation modes.

 

The acquisitions reflect the Group’s strategy to solidify its focus on logistics as a core sector and expand its global footprint while leveraging on the success of Mapletree US & EU Logistics Private Trust, a Mapletree-sponsored, logistics-focused private fund with 200 assets across the US and 62 assets across 20 European cities.
