Ericsson leases 8,400 m² in University Business Park
Ericsson – a global leader in delivering ICT solutions - has signed a lease agreement for 8,400 m² of space in University Business Park in Lodz, developed by Globe Trade Centre S.A. (GTC). Ericsson will move to its new office in July 2017. This was the largest lease transaction in Lodz in 2016.
In the process of determining a long-term strategy, including searching for a suitable location and shaping the lease terms of the contract, Ericsson was supported by international advisory company JLL.

University Business Park is a complex of two 7-storeys buildings offering a total of approximately 39,000 m² of the modern office space, designed with effective arrangement and features the highest contemporary standards. The complex provides number of amenities for tenant’s comfort including restaurant, café, newsagent, ATM and carwash.
“Working with Ericsson on the development and implementation of the lease strategy and optimization of the office space that the company will occupy in Lodz was really challenging. Following the nine months process of market analysis, we successfully secured not only target space within UBP complex but also temporary unit in the same building, that allowed the future development of the organization”, added Izabela Ciszewska, Senior Consultant, JLL, who represented Ericsson.
8,400m² Ericsson deal was the largest office lease transaction concluded in Łódź last year. Lodz office market is developing fast with more and more international companies locating their premises there. Lodz is an excellent location for projects from IT sector, which enables such companies to continue to grow dynamically. The city also offers access to educated workforce, as well as a developed transport and office infrastructure.
JLL has represented Ericsson in office lease transactions concluded in Lodz (8,400 m²) and Krakow (8,000 m²).
