Instone Real Estate has celebrated the topping-out ceremony for 105 rental apartments in the Franklin Quarter in Mannheim, Germany. Located on the site of a former US Armed Forces bas, the project is currently being developed into a vibrant neighbourhood. The complex will feature a total of six free-standing residential buildings with two to four room apartments and a day care centre. Instone sold the complex to Industria Wohnen in June 2017, before construction had even started. The completion is expected by mid-2020.
“This project sees us creating contemporary rental apartments with layout solutions catering to a variety of lifestyles, and all of it in a prime location,” stated Harald Meerße, COO of Instone Real Estate. “As an important university city in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, Mannheim has been benefiting from an influx of residents and a growing demand for living space for years. Our primary aim with this project is to meet the increased demand in the rental housing segment.”
