Genesta expands logistics portfolio by acquiring Solrod property (DK)

Genesta purchased logistics property in Solrod (DK)

Genesta further expands its logistics portfolio with the acquisition of a 20,600m2 logistics property under construction in Solrod, 25 minutes south of Copenhagen. It is an off-market transaction with Logistic Contractor A/S, part of the Wastbygg Group. Genesta will be responsible for leasing out the premises to 1-2 tenants.

"We are delighted with this acquisition, which aligns perfectly with our fund strategy. In partnership with Logistic Contractor, we will develop an impressive logistics facility in an excellent location," said David Neil, CEO of Genesta.

Situated next to the E20 highway, the location offers last-mile deliveries to Copenhagen and efficient connections to the rest of Denmark, Sweden and Europe. The building will be developed with a strong focus on sustainability, in line with EU taxonomy and aiming for BREEAM environmental certification at the Excellent level. With this investment, Genesta will offer forward-thinking businesses a sustainable, modern, and efficient logistics facility in one of the most sought-after logistics hubs in the Nordics.

Preparatory groundwork and detailed planning will commence this autumn, with Genesta taking ownership of the property at the end of 2024, approximately one year after construction begins.

"It is excellent to secure another project with Genesta. This autumn, we will hand over Enkoping Logistikcenter, an 80,000m2 logistics facility, to them. While this building is not as large, it shares similarities in its design," said Benn Karlberg, CEO of Logistic Contractor.

Lundgrens and PwC were Genesta’s advisors.
