Futureal invests in Galeria Bemowo shopping centre in Warsaw (PL)

Futureal Investment Partners has acquired the Galeria Bemowo shopping centre in Warsaw, Poland. Galeria Bemowo is a 30,345m² centre that opened in 1999 on Powstancow Slaskich on the fringe of the Bemowo and Bielany districts. It has 120 shops and 944 parking spaces, anchored by a Carrefour hypermarket, Rossmann and RTV Euro AGD. The acquisition is the third by Futureal Investment Partners, which was launched two weeks ago by Futureal, the leading Central European real estate developer, following that of the Manhattan Shopping Center in Gdansk and Wratislavia Tower in Wroclaw. The asset management of both shopping centres will be done in-house by Katarzyna Socha, Senior Asset Manager at Futureal Investment Partners. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Karol Pilniewicz, who heads Futureal Investment Partners, said: “Bemowo is in a very good location in Warsaw, serving as a key connection between the two parts of Warsaw. Like the Manhattan centre in Gdansk, the asset needs repositioning, which is in line with our strategy of generating above-average returns from value-add and opportunistic situations”.
