CoreNet Global, the corporate real estate professionals association, has issued a final call for content proposals to be considered for inclusion during this autumn’s EMEA Summit, which takes place in Berlin between 15-17 September 2014.
With a final deadline of 24 January for submissions, real estate professionals are invited to contribute to a Summit program which this year takes the theme “Changing the Conversation from Cost to Value”.
The Berlin Summit program is designed to anticipate a predicted forthcoming shift in focus for the corporate real estate sector and for the C-Suite which, according to the Corporate Real Estate 2020 research program, will change the conversation from efficiency and cost cutting to effectiveness and value creation.
The ‘paradox’ of efficiency versus effectiveness will form the centerpiece of the Berlin summit program, examining how added value supports the drivers for business success, and that cost reduction is no longer the primary focus.
Proposals should fit one of the eight focus areas of the Corporate Real Estate 2020 research program, which include Enterprise Leadership, Location Strategy and the Role of Place, Partnering with Key Support Functions, Portfolio Optimization and Asset Management, Service Delivery and Outsourcing, Sustainability, Technology Tools and Workplace.
The annual CoreNet Global EMEA summit is returning to Berlin for the second time, with the German Capital city having first hosted an event back in 2008.
Last year’s annual event took place in Amsterdam, and currently holds the record for attendance at a Summit held in continental Europe, where more than 500 senior Corporate Real Estate professionals and service providers from 23 countries stayed for two days of senior level learning and networking.
Information on how to submit proposals for the Berlin Summit is available on the CoreNet Global website. Delegate registration for the Berlin Summit will open in early 2014.
The CoreNet Global EMEA Summit will take place at the Intercontinental hotel in Berlin between Monday 15 – Wednesday 17 September, 2014.
