Poland’s Eurocash Group has announced that its supermarket chain Delikatesy Centrum has launched a ‘click & collect’ service. The service is now available in over 1,200 supermarkets all over Poland. The online offer of Delikatesy Centrum includes approximately 6,700 products. The payment is made on the spot in the store. The total value of one-off purchases made in the click & collect system can range from €11 to €66 (PLN 50 to PLN 300), purchases are completed within a maximum of 5 hours, and the customer has 24 hours to collect them. When picking up the order, the customer may supplement purchases, e.g. with products from local suppliers that are not yet available as part of the service.
Noel Collett, general director of Delikatesy Centrum, said: “The introduction of the click & collect service is our response to the needs of consumers in connection with the coronavirus epidemic, but also of our customers - franchisees running Delikatesy Centrum outlets. This solution allows for quick and safe shopping, also reduces the time spent in the store, and provides our customers with another solution that can increase their competitiveness on the market.”
