XL Catlin, the global re/insurer, has signed a lease agreement for office space at UBM’s PEGAZ complex in Wrocław. The tenant was represented by Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate advisor.

Located in the very heart of Wrocław, PEGAZ comprises two 5-storey buildings, offering 21,000m² of leasing area and 360 parking spaces. This unique project combines modern architecture with the city’s rich history, answering the needs of Generation Y workforce. PEGAZ boasts not only central location, conveniently accessible by public transport and bike, but also environmentally friendly solutions and green areas, allowing tenants to relax or meet with co-workers.

XL Catlin’s insurance and reinsurance teams provide property, casualty, professional and specialty products to industrial, commercial and professional firms, insurance companies and other enterprises throughout the world. They will occupy two floors in Building A, totalling 5,750m². This marks the first transaction of this size at the PEGAZ complex.

XL Catlin’s teams based in Wrocław provide a suite of business services that combine insurance, reinsurance and claims support, along with accounting, finance, HR and IT services. The tenant was represented by Cushman & Wakefield.

“Beside Warsaw and Kraków, we see Wrocław as a city with great potential for future growth. Thanks to low vacancy rates and ever-increasing demand for new space, we are certain that PEGAZ will not be our last project in the city,” said Jakub Mirosławski, Head of Marketing and Leasing at UBM Polska.

“PEGAZ is excellently located and will satisfy the requirements of BPO and R&D clients, as well as start-ups. We are delighted that XL Catlin will soon become one of the tenants at the complex,” added Mirosławski.

Cushman & Wakefield, who represented XL Catlin, is also responsible for technical support and project management on behalf of the tenant.

“The process of choosing the best location for XL Catlin proved to be a fascinating challenge for our team. We managed to satisfy the tenant’s business needs and create a unique workplace, thanks to the flexibility of PEGAZ’s developer. We are happy to be working with yet another client in Wrocław, providing comprehensive support leading to outstanding results in the scope of cost, quality and flexible workplace solutions,” said Krzysztof Misiak, Partner, Head of Regional Cities at Cushman & Wakefield.
