Provast is currently redeveloping the ‘Twin Towers’ for Commerz Real’ open-ended real estate fund hausInvest in the heart of the Zuidas business district, immediately adjacent to the WTC and Amsterdam Zuid station. The towers will be transformed into a high-quality mixed-use development named ‘Two Amsterdam’.
Located on the Strawinskylaan and better known as the Akzo and Stibbe towers, the original buildings date from the early 1990s. The current tenants will not return, clearing the way to transform the two office towers. The project enjoys an unprecedented high level of ambition, offering long-term quality and realising a stylish addition to the Zuidas district. The office tower will be widened and the hotel tower raised, adding extra meters and giving each tower its own distinctive identity. On balance, the project will see a reduction to the total office space available to the market.
This high-quality, multifunctional project in the centre of the Zuidas district consists of 20,000 m² LFA multi-tenant office space, a high-end hotel with approximately 330 rooms, a sky bar and an underground car park holding 380 parking spaces. Uninviting semi-public space will be transformed into an attractive intimate, green corporate garden. The various functions will enhance each other, drawing life to the area 24/7 with the corporate garden forming the key connection. The office tower will consist of large flexibly sub-dividable open spaces and stairwells.
Provast and Commerz Real are currently liaising with various parties interested in the office and hotel spaces. KCAP Architects & Planners is responsible for developing the spectacular design. Construction is due to commence in 2017, with delivery planned for the end of 2018.
